limentional Devlog 17: Big Update
limentional » Devlog
Hello Everyone,
It's taken a good amount of time, but a new update is here. There are a lot of changes which ultimately take the game in a new and better direction while maintaining the original themes:
- Camera Mechanic: you will now have a camera you can use to picture and document the environment with. It may even reveal hidden clues or messages, and deter dangers ...
- Swimming: water no longer "kills" or resets your progress. You can swim in the water, but it is not fun to do so - still acting as a punishment for failed jumps.
- More Monsters: The number and variety of monster encounters has been increased.
- More Exploration: Two of the levels have been expanded, with added details. Making them less linear, and more complex.
- Narrative: I've started including a narrative into the game. This will be expanded upon in due course.
This gets the game close to where I hope it to be going forward, and there are still myriad changes and improvements being worked on. Thank you for playing!
Yours Truly,
Battle Stag

16/06/24 I uploaded a quick patch - the screenshot camera was drawing blank pictures when encountering monsters and the dialogue boxes were obscuring the exit button on the menu.
