Tup-Tup's Wacky Racing Party

TWRP Kart! A fan-made game by Battle Stag Studio, inspired by the band TWRP.  A small, karting-themed demo game and proof-of-concept celebrating the music and themes of TWRP.

Play as one of the four band members using five available items to aid in your victories! Play as a solo race or with friends in Multiplayer!

The Deets
This is a small, first-time  game development project. If you find any bugs or problems please detail them in a comment and I will look into addressing them.

The game consists of four game modes:

1. Grand Prix: face off against 3 other AI drivers modelled after TWRP band members. Each track (of which there are now 7) is themed to either a TWRP song or message, and contains little references to their music. Each position awards points, and the player with the most points at the end wins!
2. Single Race: simply select one of the six race tracks to race once!
3. Time Trial: attempt to beat your own lap time!
4. Multiplayer: TWRP now has a limited multiplayer! Race your Best Friends or make new Best Friends in the process! Multiplayer comes with a Phantom Racer mode, where you compete to knock each other off high platforms.
You can type in your own player name, create a game, join a game or join a random game. You can race with up to three others. When you create a game, you are the Host. This means you get to select which level/map to play. While in the lobby, you must wait for all players to click "ready" before you can begin. Make sure to communicate! I have included a chat function if needed.

The game features 5 power-ups:

1.  Keytar - toss an exploding keytar!

2.  Speed Boost.

3.  Foodbar - gain a brief buff of weight, size and speed.

4.  Release the Kraken! "Who wants sandwiches?"

5.  Sticky B - "That Sticky B,  at it again!"

The controls can be viewed under "Options" in either the Main Menu or any in-game Menu.

The Distant Future
With the introduction of a Multiplayer mode, I have completed what I had hoped to for this project. It is still a bit rough around the edges, but it works and can be good fun.

But Also the 1980s
With the introduction of Multiplayer I am considering this project finished. This was my first game development project, and have learned so much in the process! There are so many more ideas to explore, and I can't wait to start the next project. I hope to see you there. Thank you for playing, I hope you have fun.
